A big thank you to everyone who read and enjoyed my comic! This project has been in progress for a long time coming. I’m happy that I was able to finally complete and finish a comic project after so many years. The short comic was supposed to be finished years ago but things happened… Things that kept me from holding back my true potential in creating… If you guys know me (or not), I had a particularly bad history with procrastination when it comes to wanting to do projects. Always promising but never delivering. But another thing that also kept me from continuing and progressing with projects and such is fear. Fear was a big factor along with my procrastination. It was always a dream to make a comic about Dough-Mutt but I’ve always put it off for the longest time out of laziness or fear… but I managed to overcome them and finally finished it. Last year, I had to really think about what I wanted. I couldn’t continue holding off on a passion project. I had to think to myself “Hey, I’m getting old. So I should decide either now or never…” So I started in January and finished by September. ABOUT THE COMIC: This Dough-Mutt comic was supposed to be a simple premise. I didn’t want to make an origin story yet nor anything that was too complicated. So I settled for a simple rescue story where Dough-Mutt saves someone from danger. That was what I decided on. Before I did any drawing, I would come up with the script first. Originally the story was supposed to have Dough-Mutt rescue a cat lady from a robbery of a gang of hyenas. Dough-Mutt successfully saves the cat lady. The next day afterwards, Dee tells his story to his friend, Lenny. The beginning of the comic started with Dee resting in the park and hearing the cry for help. It was originally supposed to be in all black and white because I first wanted the process to be easier and not rely on using color. I did not get far in drawing it… only two pages. Then I revised the script again and tried drawing the whole comic traditionally then digitally ink and color afterwards… This time, instead of having Dee in the park, it would’ve been from his apartment that he’d heard the cry for help and jump into action… that wasn’t finished either. Then I revised it over again and again… the script was rewritten over 5 times… 6 if you count some minor changes to this current comic… This time, instead of the cat lady being rescued, I put Lenny as the dude in distress. I wanted to show the connection that Dee and Lenny had. Dee’s always there to help Lenny out if he needs it… Plus they’re pals! Why not show their dynamic? The number of pages fluctuated from time to time… It was supposed to be originally 25. I thought that was too long. So I changed it to 15 for the next revision. I still thought it was too long. So I made it 9 pages in the next revision. Then 26 in the next one… Finally I settled for 28 for this comic, but certain circumstances made me change it to 29. COMIC PROGRESS: PROBLEMS AND SUCH Pages 1 to 12 were done on my touchscreen laptop/tablet hybrid using a pen stylus. It was at that point that my laptop wasn’t charging anymore for some reason. So I did a backup of the files but I’d forgot to back up the script for the story… oops. So on my other laptop I had to use my pen tablet to make pages 13 to 19. I also had to remember what I wrote for the script and improvise the dialogue until I got a new charger for my touchscreen laptop along with some new screws. When I got the new charger, it still didn’t charge my laptop, so I opened it up and checked the connector… The connector slot was pushed in a bit which prevented the charger from fully going inside. So I adjusted it and voila! It works again! So I managed to drawing on my touchscreen laptop again (Pages 20-21)… until my pen stylus’ nib broke off and I didn’t have a suitable replacement… Nor did I felt like looking for some online when the company doesn’t sell it anymore… So it was back to the pen tablet again… (Pages 22-29) It was quite a hassle but I managed to overcome. Oh and about pages 22 onward… they were originally going to have Dough-Mutt stretch wrap Yeen Boss as he were charging at both DM and Lenny. The next pages would’ve had DM warping his hand into a hammer and knocking Yeen Boss out… it felt like it was bit anticlimactic as one reader said. So I changed page 22 for the upcoming events to be a bit more suspenseful and to show a bit of vulnerability with Dough-Mutt not being able to react fast enough… but overcoming nonetheless. Also changing the pages afterwards as well. But no matter the changes, the ending remained the same. WHAT I LIKED: I liked that I was able to draw in as much action as I wanted to. Not to mention doing a comic helped me in brainstorming how to make backgrounds and character interaction scenarios. I think the comic is colorful and vibrant enough and such. And having the action take place at night was something as well. I also like that I went for black-colored gutters and borders than the standard white-colored ones. WHAT I DISLIKED, COULD’VE DONE BETTER AND WHAT COULD’VE BEEN: I wished I could’ve shown more action between Dough-Mutt and Yeen Boss but I didn’t want the comic to go on for too long. Another thing is that I’m not really a fan on how the character designs seem to fluctuate from page to page. I mean, they still have the basic designs but different ways how they’re portrayed. I can’t tell if it’s my artstyle trying to evolve or I need more practice with consistency. Also, I wish I could’ve kept up with the consistency in the visuals especially the part where Yeen Boss and his goons eat and throw the donuts but where the boxes went to? Where did Lenny put Dough-Mutt’s backpack when DM went off to the cry for help? How do I explain that Dee also hid donuts in his bag? What I have learned is that I have to keep consistent with what’s happening so people won’t have to question about what’s going on. The comic was originally supposed to be finished by mid-February or early March since I was doing a mostly daily work and uploading… until the procrastination hit… with sparse pages posted here and there… then a big increase in June… then sparse uploads until I was finished. This tells me a lot about how I make things and upload… even if I’m just focusing on one project only! Overall, making this comic was difficult, fun and so satisfying to complete. I hope you all enjoyed reading it! I eagerly await your feedback, thoughts, comments, what I could improve on etc! Thank you all so much!! ^^

Since I want to branch out more to other places, I'm going to post past to very recent works here for all of you to see.

It ranges from 2018 to 2022... even though I have a lot more ranging back to 2007 since that's when I started posting online under another username on another site!

But I think it would be best to start from a recent year.
